Street Chorus followed a contemporary dance company through their own Kuala Lumpur, and instead of stages we shot rehearsals at pedestrian crossings in Chow Kit, between the tarpaulins of the morning market and in the underpasses below the LRT tracks, letting passers-by drift through frame, and the photography leaned on long lenses and found light so the dancers stayed inside the life of the street rather than on top of it, and the final selection ran as a broadsheet insert.
