Field Notes was a personal project made across one padi season in Sekinchan, and it collected fences, tools, weather and hands in no particular order, printed at postcard size and posted weekly to a small list of subscribers, and nothing was retouched and nothing was explained, and by the time the harvesters came through in the last week the mailing list had grown large enough to fund the next season.
